This Advent, join us for a contemplative sermon series titled "Waiting for God." In a world that prizes instant gratification, the season of Advent invites us into a different rhythm- a rhythm of waiting. But waiting is not passive. It is a time of longing, longing for God's presence, His promises, and His ultimate fulfillment. Over four weeks, we will explore the biblical themes of waiting in exile, the silence of God, and the deep, aching anticipation of His coming through four thoughtful hymns. Through the experiences of Israel in exile, the quiet of God's silence, and the hope of the Messiah, we will discover how God meets us in our waiting. This series will challenge us to embrace Advent as a season of active hope, trusting that even in times of apparent silence or distance, God is at work, preparing us for the fulness of His presence. Together, let's learn to wait with hope, faith, and expectation, as we journey toward the joy of Christ's arrival.
