I Am Statements of John
March 2, 2022 - April 3, 2022
Hope Friends & Family,
As many of you are undoubtedly aware, Ash Wednesday and Lent are once again upon us. While Lent is perhaps a familiar season in the life of the Church for some, many are unacquainted with the 40 days leading up to Easter when we'll gather to celebrate and worship Jesus Christ, risen and alive!
Each season of the Church calendar is meant to intentionally draw our attention and affections towards God in specific ways. Lent is our invitation to recognize our limits and rest in the assurance that God loves us and is deeply bound to us with his covenant love.
It is here, in our limits, that we can encounter our living God. It is here where we can perhaps choose to go without something we value as a reminder for us to "taste and see that the Lord is good." -Psalm 34:8
We invite you to slow down, acknowledge your human limits and rest in our Lord and Savior who boldly claims in John's Gospel, "I am." Join us on Ash Wednesday, March 2nd, at 5:30pm (for pancakes) or 6:30pm for worship as we begin this new sermon series which will continue each Sunday morning leading up to Easter!
We look forward to worshipping with you this Lent! Come to our services at 9am or 11:30am. All are welcome to come just as you are.
