Biblical Human Sexuality

Human sexuality is one of those topics that we are now confronted with every day whether we like it or not. In all forms of media, bodies are increasingly more on display. There are few places in our culture where people can talk openly and honestly about human sexuality without it being titillating on the one hand or castigated on the other. We’re bombarded with images and talk about the physiology and psychology of sexuality, but not about the theology of it. As a pastoral staff (Jon, Chrishon and Bryan) we want to spend the next six weeks looking at the theology of human sexuality. The first four lessons will focus on what Scripture says about the Trinity and Human Sexuality, the Creation Order, Marriage and Family, and finally Singleness and Dating. The final two weeks we will be looking into Biblical Gender and Cultural Confusion and then Cultural Distortions of Sexuality. For those final two weeks, there we will be extending our Children's Church ages for dismissal from 2nd grade to 5th grade. We will leave it up to parents to decide if they would like their 3rd to 5th grader to sit in on those sermon lessons or be dismissed during that time.
